I am currently driving across the country and I have had a lot of disappointing meals. Let me tell you this place is in my top 5 best places I’ve ever ordered a meal from. I rarely ever get meat to go because most of the time it’s over cooked by the time you get home. Not this place, every single thing on my plate was not only good but PHENOMENAL. I’ve eaten at a lot of high end restaurants, I’ve even cooked in some high end restaurants. This place packed in the flavor with no frills, it was all about the food. 10/10 I would go out of my way to eat here again.

We passed through here from TX, to TN, on to IA. There was a blizzard and we were the only people in the restaurant which was good for us. I had the burger, coleslaw and fries. My wife had the 2 meat plate brisket & sausage with potato salad, corn on the cob and cornbread. I honestly wasn't expecting a lot but I was pleasantly surprised!! The brisket was very good, excellent dry rub with smoky flavor and that smoke ring people like. Tender and moist even though it was a lean cut. The burger was honestly the best burger I have had in decades! I'm writing this place down as a place that I will definitely detour out of the way as an excuse to go to again. Lindsey served us well. Highly recommend! Cool ambiance too.
